deeper V flats boat or a shallow water bay boat next.

2 boats are needed to do it right. Im lucky and have family or close friends with just about every type of boat.

I like the idea of laying the poles down on the turf. I think it would work well.

I'd go with the snow camo, but don't stop at just the bottom. do all the deck space too.

Update***** I finally got the chance to install the hydroturf in my boat. I ended up going with light gray. It was pretty hard to do, but I started learning how this material works as I went along. It turned out pretty good considering I had no I idea what I was doing, just don't look to hard.

No. Not at all. I tried cutting them square. But that didn't work. So I ended up just shoving the whole sheet in the boat taking off the backing a little at a time, and cutting as I went.

Looks really good man. What kind of boat is that? In the market for a new boat and that looks about like what I want. How long? What motor? How does it handle chop in big water?

18' sterling with a 90 Yamaha 2 stroke. Its night and day in chop compared to a flat boat. Haven't had it in anything too big.I have 13" sides. I had a dumbass pass me up on half plan when I was idling by a guy fishing and his wave came right over the back right... But that was a 2+ wave and I wasn't ready for that much stupidity. Great salt/fresh boat all around.

That came out great, if my Xpress didn't have the bedliner material I would do hydro turf.

Also see you have the jbl radio, I love mine, and it's loud.

jbl radio,

Its works great. Fit perfect in my speedometer hole too. Have it hooked up to a jbl amp. Screams on the kicker speakers. (Kinda gay, but they light up too)

Those are good speakers though, I'm impressed with the radio though! Bluetooth works good. I have mine on two 8" bazooka 3 way speakers. It's loud

I just put mine in the console instead of replacing the gauge.

Best part is its completely waterproof.... No need to baby around it with the hose or in the rain.

Where you get them sweet light up speakers? I'm thinking about getting an aluminum boat made to resemble the flats boats. I wonder if anyone has one like this. They should draft less water then a fiberglass. Might even get a tunnel haul made.

Same place i got every other thing on the boat minus th hull itself, Amazon.

Before i bought this boat, i was going to get and AL boat custom made as a flats boat, as far as deck and set up.
Here are the drawing i came up with in google sketchup
