Came in today
!
Got a delay
; but that's fine. It's happened before, I will take it home Thursday. I haven't met up with my buddy to pick up the flip-up sights yet anyway, so it's a point-and-shoot with no sights right now.
That being said, my FFL is also the range I belong to, and they do let me shoot when I get delayed- just can't take it home. So I did a function test, put a box of IMI through it. It went bang every time.
I went ahead and used the empty ammo box as an impromptu target, seeing if I could hit it at 15 yds with no sights at all. Took a couple rounds to find elevation, I was shooting high. But once I blew one of the clothespins off
I had it, and put the remainder in a 2" group on the paper. I know, nothing to brag about, but IMO not too shabby considering I was just pointing the muzzle.
Upon consideration, I'm quite satisfied with the length. I know people are making pistols with 7.5" barrels and braces, but I found my posture and stance very comfortable with the stock fully extended and a 16" barrel.
This will make a nice Father's Day gift! Thanks to all for the feedback, yall!

they had a myriad of assembly issues and parts failures a few years ago and got a bad rep on a few forums. haven't seen much about them lately, maybe theyve gotten their shite together
for that cheap, who gives a shite
Stock stayed back when I extended it; foregrip felt secure and seemed straight (I used it as my reference as a sight and it was shooting where I pointed it
Grip felt tight and secure, trigger was pretty crisp for what I've felt.
What do I look for, when I can take it home, along the lines of assembly and failure issues? Any specific wear points or parts prone to being bad? I don't mean general maintenance, more along what you referred to.
Thanks

quote:Yup, that's the gun I bought. Makes me feel good about finding it for $475. I did a test "put-in-cart" to price it, they didn't list tax, but $10 shipping (vs my $25).

So, $609 as a pretty good price, vs $500... I done good
The place I found mine is out, and it looks like prices are a little higher for stuff. Looks like the cheapest AR they currently have is this
CORE 15 Scout LPGB M4 5.56mm for $619

I like how the RA we site says not to use Remington UMC ammo in any of their firearms.

Gas key for sure. Make sure it’s secured to spec. Really go over the bcg to make sure it’s good to go. Also if possible run a bore scope to make sure the barrel is clear of junk from the nitriding process. I’ve heard of head spacing issues with their guns as well but I’ve never personally seen it. If they have a go no-go gauge at the place you bought it from see if they can quick test it.
Odds are you got a fine plinking rifle. So shoot the hell out of it

I think I'd rather shoot Tula than UMC, in just about any caliber. Last time I shot it in 9mm over a decade ago, it was the closest I've had to a squib.

My guess is none. He is just trying to justify the $1800 he spent on his Daniel defense.

Gotta love people worrying about what other people spend their money on
