No doubt it’s defective.... I’ll pay you 50 dollars to dispose of it

I have a Cabela's brand and it has a vacuum release made into the front of it. I have owned Yeti and Orca coolers, the Cabelas is by far the best one I have owned at half the price of the others.

3M non slip tape is what we do at the factory too to prevent the lock. We've had calls where customers think there is something wrong with their cooler if it does not vacuum lock and had them remove the tape too.

Some of the knockoff brands have a depressure button on them now. GATR does, I believe.

Make sure the black rubber clips are pulled up first. Should be two of them.

You can buy vacuum relief kits for under $10. Have to drill a hole in the cooler but simple to do.
Is this seriously a problem with these coolers?? It seems funny that after paying for all the cooling capabilities and quality features of the roto molded coolers, you'd have to buy an extra part to help you open it.

Next thing they'll have is a hydraulic open assist feature.

My 65 does it every now and then. My buddy had a YETI that did it all the time. Huge PITA, I am a strong bastard and it was a bitch breaking it open.
