I have always wanted to try and troll Buhlow in the kayak to see if I can't find some slabs. I can leave the office and be fishing there in 15 minutes.

I went to the first Saturday breakfast they have at the airport last February. I could see guys catching from my table

I went home and go my yak. I was catching almost every cast, but then had to be somewhere. I never went back, and really can't explain why.

That doesn't look like a yak in that picture . I may hit that up after work next week to scout.

If the fishing sucks at Big Lake on Saturday I’ll probably hit up CLECO lake to see if I can’t find a few like this. They aren't ever huge but you can find them schooled up and catch a couple dozen.

You're right. I got my pics confused. I assumed it was Buhlow because it was a white. That must have been TB because I only catch blacks at IC and SB.

Starting to catch in larto now. I know someone that can catch a lot every time he goes no matter what the water level is like. He is a old man that fishes about 4 times a week. Haha must be nice to be retired.

I need to go back there, but the water color...

Some guy on crappie.com kills them with spider rigged shiners at the main lake discharge.

I have seen him out there in that blue boat. Its really good when they only have one unit running. IT slows the current down a little bit. Luckily I have a pretty reliable intel source that knows how many units they are running at a certain time .

Don't count out double rigged Mister Twister jigs either.

Few from last spring. These were afternoon after work trips. I think 3 trips one week we caught around 200 between 2 boats and 3 guys
