Wow, thanks for your insightful post. Did you just copy and paste one of the previous posters opinion, are you that fricking stupid to form your own?

Face it. What you did was illegal. End of story.

Not at all. Doesn't make the original offense okay; does it?

hence the offense you took

Boy, were you wrong.

He consistently tries to argue his points and views to people, making generalizations about Louisiana people and comparisons to alaskan people.

I've seen him post in multiple threads and I can tell you that is not true. He simply points out the difference from the position taken by most people on this board and people elsewhere in the USA. I can tell you that I spent last summer in Mammoth Lakes, CA and seeing how people feel about bears and how people treat the bear population there is nothing like the sentiments you will read from North Louisiana folk about bears on this board. Nobody is trying to offend, simply point out that people on this board don't always set a good example of Louisiana's hunters.

100% agree

Damn, you are a dolt.

Yes it was.

I understand the law. That makes it illegal, not unethical

You just said it was not illegal, and shooting a swimming deer is unethical as hell. Are you familiar with the concept of "fair chase?" Paddling up to a swimming deer and putting a shotgun to the back of its head and pulling the trigger is slaughter, not fair chase.

What would I want to do with that??

I realize that some people eat it, but it's not why people pay thousands of dollars to go up there and kill these animals.

I'm just not really into trophy hunting, I do it more for the meat. Now if I happened to kill a nice rack, or catch a big fish, then yes I will mount it......but I'm not going to pay thousands of dollars just to say I shot a bear or a moose.

we all know now that it was illegal.

So you're proud of yourself for illegally and unethically killing a deer. What a douche.

I will admit it's a little fricked up, but it is what it is, it's not as big a deal as some of you are making it out to be.

I agree, now if you would of just shot the deer and left it in the water it would be a diffrent story. it was illeagel, it was wrong, it is over with, I have seen a lot worse things. And everybody that is harping over it being illeagal, how many of you are hunting over corn in MS?

Thanks for the breakdown of my posts, I always love those responses. I said a guy comes off as an arrogant Yankee, and I'm all of a sudden a "backwoods, inbred redneck". Boy, pot meets kettle here. And you talked about how you are glad to be so far away from this state. Trust me, this state doesn't need people like you; no pride whatsoever. You think Louisiana people are bad? Every rural area in the nation has backwoods, redneck, coonass, hillbilly, inbred people in it. And I think from my objective stance on this matter, you can see that I'm none of the above. But keep downing people from your home state and judging people like you're perfect.

Dolt? Typical Internet bad arse

Shooting a deer from 200 yards eating under a feeder isn't "fair chase" either.

I never said it was illegal at all. My 1st post said I didn't think it was and then asked for proof of it.

You at least tagged it though, right?

But yeah, I think it's pretty pathetic to shoot a deer in the water. I think it's pathetic to shoot a deer under a feeder as well, but that's for another day...

Look guys, this is like having sex with the preachers daughter in a back room of the church. You took advantage of a screwed up situation. That doesn't mean you run into the Sunday service telling everyone. I'm am quite positive everyone here has broken or bent some type of law at some point in there life. The difference that I see in types of folks are some will tell all about it while others will stay tight lipped.

Scenario: You and your favorite hunting buddy are duck hunting. Limit is 4 Mallards a piece. You all have a total of 9. Who gets the ticket when the warden checks you? Answer to follow......
