Have you not seen them while attending this year?
No, I have not walked by their booth. But you also have to keep in mind if you walk every aisle here it is over 13 miles. I have walked a little over 12 miles since the show opened on Tuesday (17 miles since I got here Sunday) and have not seen over half the show.
Shot show is laid out basically as follows: upstairs is suppliers showcase, front room main level is tactical, main level exhibit hall is home to most of your major brands, downstairs has lots of smaller brands/new companies, and across the street is archery and mainly smaller/newer brands. When they expanded across the street they did lure a couple of major names to exhibit there, the biggest being Ruger and Ferradyne.
SIG used to exhibit on the man show floor, close to the middle of the show on the main aisle - the “gun aisle” - rows 10,000 to 15.000. They were amongst S&W, Taurus, Glock, Winchester/Browning, Miossberg, Benelli, all the Italian makers, etc. They had a huge booth.
After Covid they pulled out of SHOT. Many of these booths cost millions of dollars per year once you figure in the cost of the booth, transportation and storage of it, labor to set them up and tear them down, and the cost to man them. For example, my cost (hotel/airfare/meals/parking/cabs/badge/etc) for Sunday through Saturday this week is over $3500.
Sig is now across the street. I will make a point today to go down the 73,000 aisles and see their “major presence”.

Vegas is still not hurting but they definitely want to push the spirit airlines crowd out. I consider staying with family now

Everyone needs one of these. Throw a suppressor in the lunchbox along with a few hundred rounds of ammo and it might be the best bugout bag/survival gun yet.. Ruger charger takedown with a Stern Defense Rab-AD mini stock adapter with brace. You can also put a standard Rab adapter on a AR pistol and break it down in half, but it isn’t as compact as the charger takedown.

Here is the “new” Sig booth. I honestly did not realize they had returned to SHOT. I have walked by the backside of the booth twice this week and didn’t notice them.
For comparison, this was their pre-covid booth.

Polished Blued SA-35
LINK
WANT
Can be had for $617.45
LINK
quote:
The SA-35 gets the old-school treatment with a polished blued finish. Based on Browning's P-35 design, the SA-35 already offered modern upgrades to that classic. This version adds a specialized polishing process before hot salt bluing for a finish that recalls the early days of the design.
The upgrades over the original P-35 remain: slide and frame built from durable forgings, cold hammer forged barrel, improved hammer geometry to prevent hammer bite, and an extended thumb safety. You get modern white dot front and Tactical Rack rear sights, plus 15-round magazines instead of the original's 13-round capacity.
The polished blue pairs with checkered walnut grips and a slightly funneled magwell. It's a good-looking gun for those who appreciate traditional finishes. MSRP is $799.

I feel like just holding one of those puts a few extra hairs on your peaches. That thing screams 45 acp though.
External extractor is a nice subtle modern update.

Henry SPD PREDATOR

This is the lever gun no one was expecting. The SPD Predator is built on Henry’s new Lever Action Supreme platform, and it’s chambered in .223 Remington/5.56 NATO. Aside from the uniqueness of the basic platform Henry introduced last year, the Henry Special Products Division (SPD) designed this rifle, which they associate with another acronym—PREDATOR—which stands for “Precision Rifle Engineered for Dispatching Agile Targets Over Range.” To set it apart from the base Lever Action Supreme, the SPD PREDATOR has been fitted with a carbon-fiber-wrapped barrel and a laminated wood stock that has an adjustable comb. It feeds from AR-15 magazines, and it’s the only lever action rifle that comes with a sub-MOA guarantee. MSRP: $2,510

Benelli M4 EXT
LINK
quote:
The Benelli M4 is widely considered to be the best combat shotgun of all time. Used by military and police units across the globe since its introduction in the late 90s, the Italian semi-auto 12-gauge has garnered an excellent reputation for rugged reliability thanks primarily to its ARGO (auto-regulating gas-operated) gas system. Commercial versions have been available in the U.S. for a while now, but they came from the factory lacking some important features, and upgrading them with aftermarket parts could potentially run afoul of 922R compliance regarding imported firearms. Thankfully, that’s all now behind us, as Benelli has just announced the M4 EXT.
quote:
The biggest and most important upgrade of the Benelli M4 EXT is its full-capacity 7-round magazine tube as opposed to the usual 5-round tube. It also comes with the proper 5-position collapsible stock instead of the fixed-stock lookalike that came on some of the older commercial M4 models. The stock features a QD sling mount, too. Another small upgrade that makes a big difference is the new oversized bolt release that enables faster operation, even while wearing gloves.
quote:
The rest of the M4 EXT is the same as the older models, but that’s a good thing. It means it features the same proven ARGO gas system, handy 18.5-inch barrel length, quick-acquisition ghost-ring sights and comes with a Picatinny rail for mounting optics.
quote:
The new Benelli M4 EXT is available with either a Black Multicam, Titanium Cerakote or FDE Cerakote finish and has an MSRP of $2,600.
