any idea what he charges for a deer?
Posted on 1/11/17 at 1:56 pm to lsuchamps23
Call him...he had about 50-60 to do when I was there he other day but if he's that high for a duck I can only imagine a deer

Zach Levron in Houma. Bit of a drive, but worth it

$450 a bird
Holy mother of god
I've got a buddy that exclusively does birds. He charges this and more in some cases, but he has the recognition in the taxidermy world to do it

That's shoulder mount worthy in my book

If you have a question euro mount it. Shoulder mounts get old and take a lot more room to display. I'm getting all mine euro unless it's a 170+ so I may never have that problem.

i agree
i have some good bucks already shoulder mounted and i don't really have the $500-$700 (or whatever it costs) to do another one

Charlie Montelaro in Fordoche just did a pintail and a deer for me. I Shot the deer on Oct. 30th and I got it to him immediately the duck was in my freezer from last year. Both have been on my Wall since Dec. 15th. He did them in about 6 weeks. His work is amazing. He has a facebook page look him up. His place is only 35 min. from Baton Rouge.

How long can I keep my deer head in the freezer? It's been in there for about 2 months now.

My Lord have mercy. How much is a deer?

I left one in my dad's freezer for about 4 years. No idea if it Would've been mountable or not at that point, but taxidermist said a year or so would be fine.
Dad finally got pissed and cut the head off lol. Guess I deserved that. I just couldn't commit to paying $500+ for a mount that the wife would bitch about.

I just called a taxidermist in Loranger and he charges $500 to stuff a goose. That seems very expensive.
