Be warned, when you get to the end of the road where they building the flood gate you will have to go around the flood gate on a makeshift road. It's really not a big deal jut wanted to give you a heads up.

Eddie and his wife are just good people end of story.
Was thinking of hitting it up tomorrow but i got trout on my mind. Will probably make one last trip to GI. Went to golden meadow yesterday. 5 reds 1 big black drum amd 1 trout. The trout was a fat 17" fish though. The pump by the launch was at full throttle. Muddy water

Wish I was off, I'd go with ya! I need to go there with someone who knows the area.

Fuuuuuuuck the weather was immaculate today... And fishing wasn't terrible either, ended up with some decent slot reds.

I'm headed to TN to pick up the new yak trailer this weekend. Hopefully I don't get a bunch of Irma evacuation traffic up that way

Go from the hitch, up through the pedal "opening" and strap it to cleats on either side inside of the truck bed. I do that in my outback and it's damn snug

Got my forward flush mounts set. I still need to putty up the base for the transducer mount, set a choupique anchor, and tap the holes for the GPS display. The wires for the battery and transducer need to be secured to the hull too.

I found this video for my grappling anchor. Thought it was pretty cool, if anyone is using one and hasn't seen this set up. I'm gonna get new line and zip ties for that little project this weekend.

Anchor System

Can't wait to make the first trip.

Every time I see yall post pics catching fish from The Point it makes me hate the point even more. Were you the guy on LKFC asking about the state park being closed the other day? Did yall try fishing the cove side too?
