Ahh ok, I didn't know that was called that. Yeah we've been launching down there by the state park cabins.

I'm planning on hitting PAC very soon. If it's like it has been in the past, should be on.

Weekend Forecast for PAC has 10-12 MPH winds with gusts up to 20-21.

Really wanted to go this weekend, but didn't want to have to paddle against that wind.

Next weekend looks much better but that will probably change.

Set the mount for the garmin display, toyed with mounting an elevated rod holder near it (didn't drill anything for that/might buy the better one so it doesn't look trashy) and tapped holes for a port side cleat. I'll mount one starboard side to mirror it for securing the ice chest I got (extremely light weight), and tying off the anchor when it's calm.

I also found this link, and scrapped the in-hull submerged transducer idea.

No holes, no tools, Garmin Striker 4 installed

I went to PAC and it was a little rough at times. I caught my only keeper Red om my 3rd cast right across from Eddie's. I then caught several Rat Reds and even a small trout. I will try and go again next week.

Nobody I talked to had a keeper trout, but several small ones were caught.

I used a lot of different swim baits and spinner baits. Too windy for popping cork and top water.

For now, next Friday, Saturday and Sunday have light winds forecast. Poor tide forecast for Friday and Saturday. Sunday looks to be the best option of the 3 days.

Will keep my eye on the weather and do my best to make it one of the 3 days.

I'm ready for next weekend. I'm all set. Just need the battery for the Garmin and it's go time. Those two cleats up front are getting some different screws, and they were out of the one I have on the port side, aft at Academy today. Other than that, I'm pretty much good to go. I think I'll need beer. That's it.
I've gotta rig my grappling anchor like

Use tides 4 fishing site. Then compare with active buoys in area. Helps a lot

I really like this one for tide info. What do y'all use for wind?

I'll be fishing somewhere probably Saturday. Either out west or maybe Cocodrie.

I'm thinking either PAC or Cocodrie. I heard Big Lake is too fresh and muddy.

Where do you launch at Cocodrie?
