The Field and Stream in Lafayette had a bunch of 7-08 in stock this weekend. Not sure if they still do, but it was there two days in a row last week.

There have been millions of new gun owners added since all this started in March.

Those millions bought ammo.

Have you looked for primers anytime lately? You will not find any. none.

Small rifle and small pistol primers are on gunbroker going for $150 per 1000 when the normal price is around $35

There are only 3 or 4 domestic producers of primers and they can't make enough for reloaders and manufacturers

I'd say having more than you could possibly shoot is plenty more than enough.

I can see yall hanging out in your couch cushion fort with your loaded Pmags watching fox news eating cheetos and waiting anxiously for the race war to light off

I saw some recent stats by Fox News, 58% of firearm purchases were made by black Americans. 40% first-time gun purchases were women.

There's no way that is anywhere close to accurate.

Truth. I can’t find any Hornady SST for my .270 or .243. I guess I’ll be bow hunting a lot more this year.

How much can I shoot? I go through at least 400 rounds of 9mm a month and 100 rounds of 5.56/.223 and 100 rounds of .300BLK.

How many months of practice ammo is it acceptable for me to have on hand and still avoid your e-snark?

I will never understand this. Are you not able to get them sighted in?

Accurate or not, idk. Blacks only comprise 13% of the population.

quote:

The group said that its surveys of gun stores found that 58% of the firearm purchases were by black men and women, “the largest increase of any demographic group.”

What’s more, said the group, “women comprised 40% of first-time gun purchasers.”

NSSF

quote:

NSSF tracks the background checks associated with the sale of a firearm based on the FBI’s National Instant Background Check System (NICS). NSSF-adjusted NICS checks for January through July 2020 is a record 12.1 million, which is up 71.7 percent from the 7.1 million NSSF-adjusted NICS January through July 2019. This equates to nearly 5 million first-time gun owners in the first seven months of 2020.

quote:

NSSF surveys revealed that 58 percent of firearm purchases were among African American men and women, the largest increase of any demographic group. Women comprised 40 percent of first-time gun purchasers.

Definitely jives with the numbers in the concealed class I sat through back in August. They all looked at me like a space alien when i walked in with my own 9mm ammo.

Ok well you go right on ahead piling the shite up, but I dont believe you.

How the hell can somebody who doesn't use a gun for a living burn 600 rounds of centerfire ammo a month? Everything other than sporting clays is boring after 50 rounds.

How often do you shoot your bow? I'd hope for the deer that it's more often than one session prior to climbing a tree.

I go through 100-200 every time I go to the range.

It's called practice.

Ok well I stand corrected i guess. Hard to believe anybody could out-buy the white suburbanite gun nuts.

tell me how often you think police shoot in a months time?

You throw out a number and I guarantee you that you are WAY wrong.

I practice because I'm wanting to get into competition shooting.

This really isn’t that hard to believe? There are plenty of people who shoot competitively who shoot thousands of rounds per month

Right on cue all the gun nuts show up to pile on

I like having a little more ammo than I'm going to use myself just because I dont want to run out. Some of yall boarder on religious worship of guns and mountains of ammo, and could really afford to step back and chill the frick out.

This happened last time. Once people see the shelves getting light they go into panic buy mode. Yall are just like the suburban white women going apeshit with toilet paper buying when covid lock downs came up. You know you don't need it, but because supply is low you must buy it because you must have more.

Just follow the stampede of idiots off the cliff.

I have 2 9mm.

12rd mag, I have 4.
17rd mag, I have 4.

I shoot 2 sets of that, 232rds. I could shoot more if I wasn't concerned about running down my stock.

Yea, and THOSE people are the ones clearing out the shelves every morning I'm sure.
