I generally hunt the Bunkley/Knoxville road areas up down and in between. Do some freewoods and Chapel Hill too. I like to cover alot of ground and generally only hunt any spot a few times at most each season. Not alot of deer numbers there, and I go most hunts without seeing a deer, but I love the exercise and the place is beautiful, despite having to put up with the dog hunting issues at times.

Beautiful weather for saltwater fishing. Went to Delacroix yesterday & got a 2 man limit of nice drum in about 45 minutes along with about a dozen 16-17” reds and 1 16” speck.We were catching the drum on almost every cast & got 3 doubles fishing bottom with shrimp on a shad rig.

I was deer hunting between some duck holes this afternoon trying to see what the duck numbers were like and also trying to kill some deer to meet the yearly quota. I heard multiple bullfrogs.
If you didn’t know any better you would have thought it was May by their calls.
Deer have been extremely hard to kill this year. After the rut sightings went way down and the temps went way up. Hopefully they get better to finish the season out. We have 50 deer in the books and would love to get another 50 down.
If not, I might have to get some deprivation tags this spring. That would suck

I killed a snake walking to the stand Monday afternoon…. I opted to play golf Tuesday afternoon.
