Tore the specks up in Westlake.

Fished around the saltwater diversion canal yesterday on the Calcasieu River. Caught around a hundred speckled trout. Sadly, 80 were 12" or shorter. Couple of 24-inch reds and a few green trout. Most trout I have ever caught in one trip. Good times. Plastic with chartreuse tail.

Dang it! Biggest thing I hate about living in TX is not being able to get over there and fish in September/October.

Seems to be the story from the charter boat guys. By all accounts, all those fish should be legal come spring.
