Priorities dude.

You can’t take a house fishing.

A good compromise might be a house boat!

Picked up 10 trout on friday morning in the yak on the backside. 2 nice ones right at daybreak. Lost a nice drum right before coming in. Sun was brutal after being inside stuck at my computer the last 6 weeks.

For you other yak fishermen. I highly recommend this clamp on umbrella. 20 bucks at academy

Good luck if you were fishing Cocodrie today, it was like a boat parade. We had 30 really nice ones yesterday morning, all on plastic, even with making a mistake and moving off a decent early bite. Even with leaving out well before sunrise this morning, every spot we hit was overloaded with boats complete with the usual assortment of yahoos that can’t understand why birds and fish scatter when they haul arse up into the middle of the action with their big motor. Glad I’ve got enough vacation to make more midweek trips.

Fished brush, Martin, chandeleur, new harbor and Freemason yesterday, 12 nice trout.
At least 50 boats on Freemason, never seen that many there.

Ran to timbalier and it was insane. At least 25 boats on one side of the island. Only picked up 10 keepers and 28473 throwbacks. Bite turned off around 9:00 am. Going to fish this inside and hope for better luck.

I saw boats lines up on Elmer's from Caminada to Fourchon, not totally exaggerating either.

I may never fish on a Saturday again.

Caught a 2 man limit in timbalier bay. Was catching them one after another for a while, when i looked up there were exactly 14 boats around me.

Fished for about 7 hours today. Caught about 30 fish...probably 15 bass and about 15 massive bluegill that each weighed about a pound. Biggest bass was close to five pounds and got off when it jumped near the bank. Decent day but bass bite was slower than I expected.

15 bass and 15 bream doesnt sound like too slow of a day. Guess youre better at fishing than me, which isnt saying much...

Both of the ponds I hit are loaded and they are fantastic this time of the year. The best one is covered in grass and it’s a challenge to fish. Ned rigs on super light heads and hope that a bite hits before the grass eats it up.

The bream are crazy...they must be a special breed. I haven’t seen bream this size anywhere else in the area.

With all those reds you must certainly have been in a tandem yak?

Went out this morning on the kayak and missed at least 4 before finally landing one. Was using Gammy 3/0 WG weedless with wacky rig senko. Come to the conclusion that the hook was far too small after finally landing a fish.
