I hunt in Tensas and had about a dozen sightings last year while hunting. Same 2 or 3 bears but they’re here

to be specific. Get off 65 and get on the road that runs along Bruin where the KOA was. Those pecan orchards have a momma bear in there all the time. Yes, in peoples front yards. I’ve seen her and cubs there multiple times.

I have family that lives over there and they say she is out there constantly. This was a year ago but I haven’t heard of her getting run over. And pecans are hitting the ground again

Hey 65 there is an intersectio. That goes to lake life grocery store near lake bruin.

Pecan orchard to the left when you turn on the road. Bears congregate there often this time of year eating pecans
shoulda saved all my words!

it's pretty awesome that they are making a comeback. Hopefully the populations connect and they issue a few tags for them.

Last week I took a drive up to Monroe/Bastrop and not sure of exact mile marker but on I-20 they have a sign on the side of the road(official highway sign)warning of bear crossings(in the area)for 13 miles. No, I didn't actually see any bears.

Im guessing in the next 10 yrs we will see limited tags.

They are becoming a nuisance in several areas.

Video of bears walking down docks at lake bruin to take a few laps in the lake and back out were taken this summer.

Ive had a momma with 3 cubs the last 2 years. They are doing really well

Upper Ouachita NWR is full of them. I hunt deer close to the refuge and have pictures of 4-5 different bears this year.

The bears in Zoosiana are wild, just not "in the wild".
