Yea, except for doe days.

Any biologist in the state will go to almost any larger property and tell you to shoot more does. Kinda hard to do when the state only gives you 6 days to do it.

Ah yes you are correct about that, sorry I was thinking about area 2 which is what I hunt. Can tell when it’s a doe day on kisatchie though.

Make the deer season Oct 1- mid Feb.

Change the state deer limit to 2/2 per licensed hunter or youth unless you’re on DMAP?

Banning cameras on WMA doesn’t bother me even though I seldom use them.

I’m ok with banning feeding. But allowing food plots.

I just want it back to archery is either sex all season. Our club is archery only and we have to abide by rifle bucks only days. Either do that or drop the limit to 2 does a person in area 9 and remove the doe days.

They’re illegal in federal lands I hunt and still see them. Don’t think outlawing them would stop the use.

Take it and toss it in the river. Problem solved

Yep, I find them at D'Arbonne NWR and Black Bayou NWR pretty frequently. I've also found permanent ladder stands attached to trees back there, and last season there was feed by one of the ladder stands.

I've been tempted but figured karma would get me. I did drop a pin on the cameras/stands/feed and let the land manager know. Of course he seemed appreciative but they're still all there (haven't found feed this season).

I mean dog season is gonna run those deer off faster than you think. The rednecks run dogs where I hunt and i slowly start to see nicer deer either get killed or go to greener pastures. Chaps my arse because they shoot everything they see and I work my arse off setting up stands and scouting. I didn’t even know that public land dog hunting was a thing

in the Basin they have thousand s of acres of state land that are not WMA, the dog Hunters act like its there own property, they shoot anything that moves and really pay no attention to game laws, its a free for all and when you try to still hunt it the deer are spooky and nocturnal.

Yeah the pamphlet for darbonne states no personal property left unattended and mentions decoys, blinds, stands, but nothing about trail cams. I see the out there often as well and stands

Tensas specifically mentions no trail cams

I think banning them on state WMAs would at least cut way back on claiming an area just because you have a trail cam there. It happens pretty often

yea its a pain in the arse. its why im getting out of the club im in now. i had nice bucks on camera and now theyre gone. they either got them with the dogs or they went to greener pastures. their goal is to kill as many deer as they can in front of the dogs. i dont agree with it but to each their own.

i told some folks up in the midwest about how they do it here and they frowned upon it.

Maybe they will require a $15 permit per camera that you have to print out and attach it to the camera
That would be a very Louisiana thing to do.

The notice of intent on LdWF page mentions every change except banning trail cams on WMAs I didn’t listen in on the meeting. It’s like that didn’t get passed Anyone know?
