Figured I'd start somewhere, why not let it be with duck hunting.

That one was banded in Minnesota on July 14, 2010.
Killed on at least his fourth migration.

If we had been set up in the spot they wanted, I would be posting a similar pic. Maybe not the bonus pic. We shot the teal and gray ducks early....sooooo that didn't leave much room for many mallards. We passed on gazillion bazillion teal after we saw what was fixing to happen so we could haul some mallards out. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a carbon copy of your hunt! Congrats!

Good luck man!
I'd rather eat teal but them greenheads make good pictures!!
It's a good thing when you're faced with the decision to either shoot early or wait for mallards.

That's a fact. We had no idea they would be in there like they were. Had we had known, we would have definitely waited. Hind sight is 20/20! When did you start seeing more birds? Today or yesterday? I am assuming you haven't been killing like that all season???

Hunted the marsh between sweet lake and big lake this morning with a buddy and his dad. We only killed 10, but we could see hundreds of ducks clustered up on or right up against the mud flats out in the distance. 80% of them never moved, not even when we shot. Still encouraging to see that many birds in the area. Much different than what we have been seeing in the rice fields

We haven't been killing like that but we have had a decent season. We hardly ever kill all of our off ducks so to see new gads. Teal. Pintail was a treat.

That was the pic I thought I saw from this morning's hunt.
