After seeing the picture, I'll go with this too.
Haines is my heaven. It's the center of the outdoor universe IMO. Small town, incredible outdoor scenery and wildlife and unlimited recreation opportunities.
The town is roughly 3,500 people, it has a large, braided glacial river that runs through it, several deep freshwater lakes, and sits at the head of Lynn Canal, the longest fjord in North America. I'm infatuated with that place and visit several times a year. Company I'm with now has a business interest there so I'll get to travel there in summer on business a couple times a month. It's got an awesome bakery for breakfast and lunch, some nice pubs for dinner. Lots of fishermen, some gold miners (Gold Rush) is partially filmed there) mountain guides, heliskiiers.
One of my favorite Haines videos, Black Friday Shopping in Haines
I've been planning my escape, saving money. I'll get there soon for good.

About 500-600 acres anywhere in Texas. I currently hunt in west Texas, but I hear there are huge deer in north Texas.

I have wasted so much time thinking about this, I would get about 10K acres in Concordia/Tensas/Madison along the river. About half being ag and the rest hardwoods with some crp/wrp. Would then get a big spread in either Kansas/Missouri or out in Montana.

Sawtooth Mountain range in ID. I would spend my days fishing on the Salmon river, and hunting. It has Montana views, minus the people.

Not sure if a sole owner, but whoever owns the land off Red Bluff that the "Jackson Davis" Exco wells are on has a shitload of acreage.
Burford land is pretty stacked around Grand Cane also.

I have a friend that has 1,400 acres of hwy 5 and its beautiful. Mostly wooded pine with some hardwood. Several ponds that hold wood ducks year around and lots of teal during the winter. Bass, ducks and tons of deer. It is ideal.
It is my "dream property" within 200 miles of my house.
