It was such a cheap and lazy attempt to garner a laugh. Zero ability to craft a joke was required. Obviously a show that appeals to the discriminating viewer.

shite like that is why Trump won. The Democrats throw insults and label anyone with some form of "ism" who opposes their line of thinking. They created a culture in which anyone who is percieved as racist by the left is blasted on social media and news outlets. They destroyed any atmosphere of political discussion and tried to bully there way into the White House. When voters finally had a chance to express their opinion without being insulted or being told their less intelligent by some uppity leftist, they voted for Trump.

Blackish started off as a surprisingly good show.
They played it down both sides very often, and the main character's biases and casual racism against whites was often lampooned and made to seem ridiculous. The messages were left leaning but they often made the left look foolish and tried to have some down the middle messages.
Then it all changed last year when they had a "very special" episode about police brutality, and its never been the same. They've gone ultra-left, especially with this election, and now white people are ALWAYS portrayed as buffoons.
It sucks. I did like the show at first. Its just not entertaining anymore and pretty annoying.

Seems to be the normal progression of any show.
Notice how 24 went down the toilet as soon as the PC crew got involved and started casting the likes of Janine Garofolo as Bauer's support crew?
A show may be successful for its voice at first but a change in writers, casting, and/or philosophy loses the audience by making it suck.

Its the same writers, and the creator of the show is an ultra-leftist.
I'm fairly certain that was the goal all along. Gain an audience by being fair and lampooning the left/black's biases...

Shows more planning than normal and appears balanced on the idea that ABC won't cancel the show if the ratings falter.
I don't know the time slot but if it is part of one of their family blocks such as Modern Family, Goldbergs, etc then it may survive.
