I know you’re not likely to agree, but by “hoax” he absolutely meant the combined efforts of interested individuals and organizations (pundits, MSM, etc) to create a narrative that he was embroiled in a coverup, hinting vaguely at a potential conspiracy to conceal horrific crimes perpetrated by, again, vague unspecified parties and of course an insinuation that he’s concealing his own crimes and offenses. And THAT’S why the “Epstein list” hasn’t been released.

I guess you’re conveniently forgetting about the rather large hit jobs that have been done on him in the past, always in an effort to beat him politically. Any single one ordinarily would have been unthinkable before Trump came along, yet here we are, folks like you are bending over backwards to make them no big. Or is, say, Brennan more your type, the one who had been mocking the allegations of the Trump-Russia ordeal being a hoax? Turns out he was wrong too.
But maybe, just maybe, this once it will all be real and not yet another Russiagate.

If I went down to the town square in my suburb where people hang out, play trivia, have some drinks, play cornhole, play fetch with their dog, eat ice cream with their kiddos, throwing the football around, having dinner outside at one of the restaurants on the sidewalk, etc. etc. etc. - you know, living and enjoying the American Dream -

So his enemies put him into the files, then also decided to do nothing with this great hoax they created? That makes sense. They were just waiting for him to get into office so he could somehow trigger this democrat master-plan. That's obviously the best time to enact this hoax. When Republicans already control all branches of government, and Trump has full control over what happens with the investigation.
Somehow though, the Dems couldn't use their same trickery to remove all evidence of the other things that Trump is pushing over the Epstein files. Nor could they remove Clinton, and other big name Democrats that Trump swears are all in the Epstein files. That's just too complicated. They can only use their trickery for this, and this only.
You guys are giving democrats way too much credit, they do not really do anything worthwhile when they are in power. Why would they choose now of all times to try and out Trump?
If Trump is in the files, its most likely because he did something to put himself in the files.
A novel idea would be to release them, so we can know one way or the other. I'm getting real tired of protecting pedophiles of either political party or of any amount of power, whether I support them or not.

I am not pessimistic so much about Trump as much as I recognize the reality that Presidents come and go but the Deep State rules in perpetuity. I have stated here repeatedly that some form of populist pushback is the very best outcome we can hope for in this wholly corrupted political environment.
Trump’s ability to accomplish many aspects of his MAGA agenda is certainly admirable. Through pure political will, that orange bastard kneecapped the political legacy of the Bushes and the Clintons and is now attempting to do the same to Obama.
With that said, Washington D.C. can more be “reformed” than a malignant cancer. It is an absurd fantasy to believe that if we only would send the correct slate of sock puppets to Potomac Beltway, the Republic will be saved.
No, if true Liberty is to return in this once great nation, it will arise in nullification, subsidiary and even secession movements in the individual states. The current crisis continues until enough supporters of government come to this inescapable conclusion.
