Nice read. Won’t change a single thing. The author is an Uncle Tom, self hating black, blah, blah, blah. You know the standard response. Society as you once knew it is over.
Get ready for the ‘new reality.’ Good luck dealing with it. You’re going to need it.

Very well written. If only everyone was capable of that level of thought.

Of course. None. Nada. Zilch
This is one of the most amazing pieces I’ve ever read about anything.

Would love for Trump to retweet the link to this and give it visibility. These people are all about starting a conversation. I would like to start one starting with this letter but I doubt they want THAT conversation.

It’s worth looking at African immigrants.
They (presumably) face the same (or worse) “systemic racism” than thr native born population. Yet they’re far more economically successful and don’t have the same incarceration rates.
Legal Black immigrants from Africa have an incarceration rate almost 10x lower than US nativebrn Black people.
LINK
In fact, African immigrants have one of the lowest incarceration rates amongst immigrant ethnicities.
Why?
Culture. African immigrant families place a huge emphasis on education.
As I moved up the ladder academically, the few “dark skin” people left with me were disproportionately first generation African immigrants.

That author should be our president. Holy shite that was refreshing. That is all I’ve been trying to say. It’s why people don’t see a black profile pic on Facebook for me and why I don’t have my kids out protesting. The correct discussion is not taking place. This subject is not being carefully examined, and I know it.

I tried to send it to prager u on twitter. I’m not sure how to get it to the president or other big conservative media like Tucker.

The letter is getting some traction.
Wilfred Reilly, the black iconoclast Kentucky State political science professor referenced in the letter, confirmed that he and Thomas Sowell both received the letter. His comment was "It's really worth reading, in a time of widespread panic."
Maybe Sowell will chime in, too.

There's 3 black faculty members. Soon to be zero. Just to be sure they get the racist, ya know.
If that is the true number then no one in the administration of that university has any business opening up their mouths about who is or isn't a racist.

Would this letter get banned on Democratic Underground?

That is a well-reasoned and -written piece.
As to anyone who actually believes it was written by a Black professor at Berkley ... I have this bridge .....

Did they say black? Or did they say “of color”?

Good synopsis, Hank. You might be right.

The letter does not reflect the views of their institution. That’s telling.
