So if you mean the Democratic Socialism as practiced (somewhat) in Scandinavia, yeah sure, you can say the U.K. has the NHS which is a behemoth govt institution, but it's one of the bastions of British life. It's just there, it's how things are done. The U.K. could switch to a US style broken hodgepodge of part full state, part state subsidy of private insurer paying heavily state subsidized hospitals and care homes, with some straight for profit insurance and care as well, with many millions uninsured and a huge proportion probably under-insured. But it would be difficult to accurately replicate anything so mind-crushingly complex and frustrating to use.
Socialism is just a word. The real questions are
A) is there a move towards a more marxist definition of socialism, I.E. the workers strike or revolt to, or just vote in a government who, seize the means of production and distribution?
And
B) do they then gradually phase out free enterprise and private ownership of other areas of the economy or is their socialism more focused on using systems of taxation and welfare to ensure an end to absolute and relative poverty without ending the economic freedom of individuals to form businesses and trade freely?

Stormy’smlawyernis digging up some major discomfort for Trump. Did the Russian money reimburse Cohen or did Cohen use Trumps retainer. Bet a new story comes out.
