The social credit system is Trump's infatuation with Palantir (owned his staunch supporter Peter Thiel) and their data collection on Americans. Using AI to catalog the American citizenry's information is sleep walking your way into a social credit score system. Such a system is a prized "step 1" in the process of stripping 2nd amendment rights from citizens because of their social score by the police state. If Trump and his DOJ have been consistent, it's on the issue of the 2nd Amendment and having no problem eroding it. If the democrat party has been consistent, it's that they'll expand any big gov endeavor once they take power. Communists being in charge of your social credit score is a nightmare for the Bill of Rights, and you can bet your arse they'll start with the 2nd amendment.

Trump has seen how much success China has had, and he wants that here.

Bottom of page 3.

It's nasty stuff, and Peter Thiel has his filthy gay fingers all up in it.

Okay, Mud, I found your post thanks to wade.

I don't know much about the Palantir stuff so I can't really add to that part of the discussion.

While the erosion of privacy, rights and protections is very real and very problematic- I also think, overall, the government would have an impossible time disarming the populace.

Also, different states treat this issue differently... maybe I'm insulated from thinking too much about it because my state is (finally) pretty hands off on gun ownership. Which is kind of amazing in and of itself as I hail from the land of Dylan Roof and our freedoms have only expanded since then within the state.

So you’re blaming Trump in year 1/4 for not overturning a law that was put into effect in 1934?

You just wake up?

It's year 5/8 now.

Trump is a Trojan Horse. How so many still refuse to see it I have no idea.

Well I guess this means no president since 1934 has been pro 2A.

Palantir has been working with the government since before Trump.

This is what the true conservatives on this board got you with the patriot act.

Social credit score wasn't a thing when the Big Brother Act was signed.

This is a new way to force compliance.

AI and robotics advance and eliminate more and more jobs.

Tens of millions of Americans lose jobs, and there are no new jobs being created to employ them.

Several levels of universal basic income are introduced, and your social credit score determines which level you get.

This is where we're headed. Firearms are a problem for totalitarians, so of course Trump and his DOJ want a registry. That way, they know where to send their goons, who will always have a game warden when they knock on your door so that they can search your home without a warrant.

Edited for the cultists: it doesn't even necessarily have to be Trump, any POTUS could be the one to flip the switch.

Trump and his DOJ (Pam Bondi is notoriously anti gun) are as anti gun as Obama was.

Using absolutely dumb fricking hyperbole like this doesn't help you make your point. It makes you look like a fricking moron.

They aren't going to disarm this country... there's more arms out there already than hands to hold them.

My worry is them cracking down on ammo. With knowledge, effort and supplies that are easy to get now though... there will always be ammo somewhere. Learn to roll your own or make friends with someone who does.

Trump is an anti-2nd Amendment, sackless, controlled opposition, limousine liberal who cozies up to communists in the white house. He's not right wing, but he is a damn good liar who loves the H1Bs and hates the 2nd amendment.

Republicans Presidents over the last 50 years have historically enacted and supported more Anti 2A laws than democrats.

Nixon - wanted and pushed for a ban on all handguns.
Reagan- Hughes Amendment
Bush 41- banned imports on “assault” weapons and used the GCA of 1968 as legal argument further strengthening it.
Trump- supports red flag laws, banned bump stocks

I wouldn't call it "dumb fricking hyperbole," exactly...

Obama has only ever signed laws expanding gun owners' rights.

One of those pro-gun laws took effect in February 2010 and allows people to carry loaded firearms into the Grand Canyon and other national parks, according to the AP.
...

The other major pro-gun law Obama signed allows Amtrak passengers to carry guns in checked baggage, reversing a ban that was put in place after 9/11, according to USA Today.

Dumb hyperbole. Yes. If it was up to most democrats including Obama guns would be 100% outlawed. Bondi and Trump are not even remotely in the same ballpark.

And I have no problem with fighting ALL gun control even if it sounds reasonable for the very reason liberals want them all outlawed. You can't let them get the foot in the door.

I'm not talking bout how people felt, I'm talking a out what actually happened. Objectively speaking, gun rights expanded under Obama. That kind of make it not "hyperbole".

You're blind, it's not just "liberals".

Controlled opposition to appease the right.

You make a lot of good points, but do you think all of the prosecutions were just for show and they arranged for him to turn his head just at the right moment so that only his ear would be nicked? And the civil suit and $80 million (?) award?

A lot of the things you point out are just things that Trump feels differently about than you do. I don’t think he’s controlled opposition; I just think Israel is part of the coalition he needed to win. And regime change in Venezuela is just a great idea and a great bargain for America.

He’d like to get out of Ukraine but not at the price of a complete Russian victory. Just because you have a hard on fro Russia doesn’t mean Trump does.

The massive spending and deficits are just things he has little control over. Congress has to agree, and they don’t.

He supports H1B because it’s a great program for America. Consider the possibility that he just disagrees with you on this, like I do.
