Besides, the vast majority of athletes that made big money and pissed it away did so with the help of drugs. There are a lot of stupid people that have never made drugs a habit.

You've got to look at what comprises "professional athlete" in these studies.
There are loads of guys that counted on playing something professionally for their livelihood that danced around the edges of a (major) league for a few years before being told to go away. Most never made money and were out of the sport with no marketable skills.

I haven't seen food lines or shortages since covid. Maybe in natural disasters, which is to be expected. This is America, one of the wealthiest nations on earth.

I'm not sure what it looks like nationally, but locally (Texas) infant mortality rates are up and early reports on maternal mortality show an uptick.
You think that could have anything to do the mass of illegal immigration in to the state of Texas? Many of these women who are ill, have chronic disease and have had no prenatal care?
I did a literature search and could not find a single legitimate report that cited death as the result of lack of access to an abortion.
There are lots of incidents of women who die from maternal hemorrhaging, so a zealot could say "well if she had gotten an abortion that would have saved her". Total crock of crap. More babies died in the parking lot of the Democratic convention in the abortion wagon than women who have died from lack of access to an abortion.
