This needs to be emphasized. The people who don't believe we landed on the moon largely don't believe the narrative because they distrust their government. This distrust is fully deserved given the lies that come out of DC on a daily basis. If we had a more honest government, the conspiracy theories would be far less prevalent.

The Soviets had the technology to prove or disprove the landing. Why would they congratulate the U.S.? They could have destroyed the U.S. by making the lie public.

The Van Allen belt is not the reason we haven’t been back. The effects of the Van Allen belt are very overrated and there are many bigger challenges than a belt of higher than normal radiation
