I'm confused

That dude Maddow said there wasn't anything to worry about?

The amazing ignorance and imbecility of the modern Left, believing Iran’s interest in uranium enrichment was purely for energy and medical research. If these assholes ever developed a nuke, they would use it in an act of terrorism. There was never a chance they would ever honestly negotiate restraint in that regard.

Any leader over there that had that capability and then negotiated peace and not to use it for terror would be killed immediately and the person(s) that took over would press that button before dinner or supper.

Trump and Hegseth told us that Iran's nuclear capabiluties were "obliterated." Maybe that is what Maddow is referring?

Arak nuclear facility is/was a heavy water breeder reactor. Not only were they boiling water to produce steam and spin a turbine to make electricity with the U-235 they were bombarding U-238 with neutrons to breed P-239. Plutonium is a higher grade material for nuclear weapons.

It's quite obvious why this nuclear complex was targeted.

Sounds like a nice Summer thunderstorm off in the distance.

Oh, and can we drop just a couple more bombs on Arak...for good measure?

Yeah, they were probably "weeks away" from having a nuclear weapon.

One of the "deals" Trump had on the table was that the U.S. would provide all of the nuclear fuel that Iran would need forever for use in their energy generation production if they would agree to forego their enrichment and bomb making program. They declined.

I here this repeatedly from detractors who don't seem to understand the statement.. I'll post what I posted yesterday to explain.

quote:

I heard a clean explanation of this the other day. I’ll try to paraphrase it. We keep hearing they were two weeks away, but what does that actually mean? Well apparently Iran has approximately 800 lbs enriched uranium refined to approximately 60%. It is speculated this material was moved underground before Operation Midnight Hammer..The 2 weeks we keep hearing about is approximately the amount of time Iran would need to refine it up to 90 percent enrichment for weapons grade use should they choose too

the two weeks isn't some work deadline they are trying to reach. It is the amount of time needed to refine their enriched uranium from its current state to weapons grade. Why is that window important? look how long it took us to build up resources in the area for the current operations.. This floating 2 week window would have been sufficient enough time for them green light the refinement up to weapons grade, potentially arm a weapon with a nuclear war head and launch. Had this happened, in real time, it would have been a race to build up assets in the region, and we would have been scrambling to provide the region an adequate defense. Case in point, many of the missiles and drones being shot down now are thanks to the buildup of missile defense systems we've moved into the area over the the past month.

This is the sort of deal you only make when you know the other side will decline. It's a "see? They won't even take everything!" sort of deal.
