I’m voting for Landry so there’s that

I'm voting for 'not a democrat,' but I'd prefer it not be Landry.
Y'all wake me when the stupid shite fight is over.

What's your opinion on the recent Debt limit deal in congress? To that point, what's your opinion on Louisiana congressman (Scalise and Graves) being centrally involved in selling the bill (dishonestly and coersively).

I’d be more interested in someone’s take on LOUISIANA’s budget and LOUISIANA’s tax structure if they’re running for Governor of Louisiana.
Congress is Congress.
One of the strange things about politics and it very much is a part of this board.
National politics impacts our life much much less than state politics, yet people care about national politics much, much more than state politics.

My mind is still open about who I’ll vote for. And I’m not much of a Landry fan overall, but I have seen him take strong positions on topics that I agree with.
The problems with most politicians is that they can talk a strong game, but when it comes to the issues at hand some are all hat and no cattle.

This gritty personal anecdotal stuff seems like the typical political mud slinging for which Louisianians are very susceptible and gullible.
Same position here.
And that recent attack ad by waguespack against Landry blaming him for crime being bad is fricking stupid and dropped Wag down a few spots for me.
That’s the same shite flinging that got us that shithead liberal Bel as governor for two fricking terms.

The whole 1 year tenure that he’s been in office? Lol.

If the election is close, you can count on it.
The winner will be determined right here.
Why the real question to Landry and the others is "what are you really going to do to get this lazy, slacking, entitled Registrar Wilson to purge our rolls of over 70,000 illegal names - to be utilized strategically later in whatever close elections might demand it - as has been done before."
Will you take an active role in it yourself or slough it off to whoever wins the Secretary of State position.
Leaving the Governor insulated and free of criticism that he was seen in public in any way dictating to a black female.
Just the prospects of being seen in that position has already cost Ardoin his position.
Unless Landry's non-action while we were going through our forced monument crisis is any clear indication of what he'll do in situations that corner him into a public position that he has no stomach for - as did the monument crisis.
And then appear in public later after the crisis is over, with no comment at all. Both he and Nungesser.
One campaign point of light for him is that "kids deserve a good education, not liberal politics pushed in the classroom."
Does that include what is or not discussed in the classrooms about potentially incendiary subjects like our Civil War.
Why Schroder is the only consideration at this point.
At least he's shown responsibility with the people's money and knows where the financial bodies are buried.
But don't believe that he also would in any way confront our Registrar Wilson to get her to do her job.
Nor would any of the others.
It certainly wouldn't be Jason Williams.
Until we get candidates who are willing to do the tactical confrontations that take true grit, then don't expect the elections or anything else to change in this reeling Republic.
The unacceptable status quo is about all we can expect now.

And in that 1 year he has offered more of his thoughts in regards to LOUISIANA specific reforms than Landry’s 15 or so years running for office, including the past six years he’s clearly been running for Governor.

Because the national stuff more easily captures the lazy/low IQ voter minds. It takes more effort to follow state and local government; YET, it’s actually EASIER to get the real details if you’re willing to put in the time.
Take Louisiana. For all the deserved negativity towards state government, the legislature website actually makes bills, roll call votes and committee hearings very accessible. Your local government, you can take a couple hours each month to sit in municipal/parish council meetings to follow budgeting and learn where your tax dollars are going.
Good luck trying to follow that shite in Congress.
But with the Limbaughs, Maddows, Oblermans, Carlsons…it’s much easier to be “outraged” at federal government.

Jumping into an anti-Landry thread sure looks desperate on your part

Give us some policies or positions you hold. Not "pro-Trump". That didn't work out well for Rispone.
exactly why gravity graves is unelectable, he turned a blind eye toward election fraud. rispone got a-lot more votes than the jbe rigid election machines counted. maybe even landry has some fault to the coverup also?

Team is the main word in that sentence, I saw Liz Murrill testify and fight the cases in front of the Supreme Court. Not sure landry made it up there himself.

No he didn’t, and he didn’t get them because his campaign ran almost zero localized GOTV efforts.

THIS. No candidate is perfect but at least Landry has done something productive

You know we’re in last place when “done something productive” is good enough.
