Dont know what crowd your mom is spending time with but I dont know any Boomers who are pro Dem. They are either full blown MAGA or just realize the Dems have imploded and they keep their opinions quite.
What is amusing to me is that I know several Boomer AAs who are 110% dyed in the wool Dem and will never change and the young AA men at work argue with them becasue they are pro Trump. I dont think that will necessarily transfer over to the next R candidate but they have opened their eyes to the support fraud that the Ds purport for the AA community.

My dad, 78, went the opposite way. Went Trump in 2016. He'd been private union since 1965 and has a nice retirement. I think what did it was he was finally home to watch the news on TV and see for himself what was going on with the liberals
