Utah resident here.
All of Scaggs signs referenced Trump.
Now Trump will still win Utah but it is interesting.

Trump has forced the GOP to run more conservative candidates. It’s still a win against the establishment.
MAGA also isn’t a bunch of whiny bitches like you who will say they are not going to vote because their person didn’t win the primary. We will still vote for the R.
You eating a bag of dicks is imminent.

He continues to endorse shite candidates.
At least they lost instead of getting to the general only to be destroyed by some random dem.
Sometimes big endorsements don’t work out too well. I think former governor Bobby Jindal had 25-30% success rate on endorsements and that was before he let the state go in the shitter and was about as popular as a yeast infection.
Even Jeff Landry picked a couple of losers in the run offs last year. Endorsements sometimes don’t age like a fine wine.

All 3 scenarios were best for the gop in terms of electing more Romney McCain types and getting nothing done.

Keeps proving that he's a loser is all.

Sooner the Republican Party decouples from Trump and his handpicked candidates like Lake, Walker, etc. the better.

I really hate when Trump's cult like following doesn't follow like a cult.

100-3?
That's just it. 95% of Trumps 'endorsed' candidates are going to win without his endorsement. Most of them are not in competitive races. It would be like me 'endorsing' Alabama to beat Vanderbilt in football. Its a foregone conclusion. Its the 5% that is the problem. He endorses total wacko's like Kari Lake, Herschel Walker, Blake Masters, etc. which in those types of races Trump's record is abysmal.

Getting a Trump endorsement or any endorsement for that matter is fine and all but be your own man. The point is, the candidate still matters most.

They're the ones who voted for the losers in this scenario.
Trump's "cult" is not the majority of Republican voters (not even close). That's the problem with the assumption underlying your point.

Did the three candidates touted here run on some sort of specific anti-Trump platforms?
Posted on 6/26/24 at 7:49 am to GumboPot
Scaggs had double trouble.
He was labeled “too liberal” and put Trump endorsed on everything.
I’m a little surprised Trump would endorse a liberal conservative though.

Why must you open your mouth and let everyone know you are a fool?
What is his win percentage? It is pretty damn impressive.

Not an excuse it is a Fact. Most of his 'endorsements' are a forgone conclusion. Endorsing Tuberville to beat Doug Jones is a joke. Trump's record in the 2022 midterms in actual toss up races was laughable. He lost something like 34 of them. Anyone can 'endorse' someone in a deep Red State to win. Its the other side of the coin that actually matters in the Purple and Swing States of which Trump's actual record of endorsements is terrible. Remember Dr. Oz?

1) Pastor mark burns lost a primary he was favored in in South Carolina’s third district primary. He was endorsed by trump. His opponent, Sherri Biggs, was endorsed by governor McMaster.
this was a dumb one to endorse. Burns doesnt even live in the district he was running in. That will turn a lot of voters off in the south.
