In july of 1993, bill clinton, like trump, suffered from a horribly leaky white house, staff controversy, low approval ratings, and his health care initiative getting laughed off the stage.

He managed to muster the troops and recover.

Why can't trump?

What did Bill Clinton accomplish from january of 1993 to july of 1993?

Wrong.
Clinton had knowledge and understanding of major policy issues, and Trump does not. Trump can only speak in vague and empty terms and promises. He looks more and more like the least knowledgable, unprepared President ever. (As many predicted). He has access to the best intelligence briefings in the world but choses to get his information from Fox and Sean Hannity. He is playing a public relations, misinformation game vs dealing with the real issues of the country and the world. Buffoon.

The Clinton Healthcare plan was in it's formative stages and being taken seriously. I was a Hospital Administrator with a large private chain and we were preparing for it as if it were going to be enacted. Had that not overreached in a few areas, it had a serious chance of passing.

It's not just what Trump hasn't accomplished, it's that he had destroyed his credibility with the chaos, lies and endless tweets. The only people who approve of him or his blind followers. Clinton's numbers really weren't as bad as Trump's overall on average for the first six months other than his June swoon.

Clinton suffered a lot early on because he wanted to allow gay people to serve in the military, something only the most bigoted would argue against today.

Two things wrong with that statement.

1) It was not that big of an issue in 1992-1996
2) It isn't bigoted to think homos shouldn't serve. It causes logistic problems to deal with the needs of abnormal sex/gender groups which directly affects combat readiness. Many Military people in charge have said those exact same things but after being "retired" and or "relieved" and or "no longer advanced" because of the truth they learned to protect their careers regardless of theoutcomes.

Clinton had republican House and Senate. Just think what would get done if Trump had a Democratic House and Senate

At the beginning of his first term? I don't think so.

That came 2 years later, and is by most accounts, what ultimately saved his presidency.

Trump can't even keep from alienating his own party. Instead of reaching across the aisle he is tweeting that republicans should go with the nuclear option.

The guy can't even get along with his own staff.

It really wasn't.

The Clinton Policy was Don't Ask Don't Tell (essentially it was the same as at had been since the beginning of time. If no one knew you were queer you could serve)

While not liked it was nothing like Obama's Repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and the Open acceptance figs in the service.

TRUMP won his election fair and square. BJ Clinton had to enlist the help of Jugs Perot.
