We are talking about an article that talks about more than just independents. See the link by OP.

Oh and maybe learn to read before opening up that dick sucker of yours next time

The OP specifically references independents with quotes related to independent polling. That is the topic the OP wants to discuss.

If he wanted to talk about more he would change OP title and reference different parts. I can see you are struggling with that.

its who is getting deported. Its not confusing.

Illegal parents, grandparents of American kids who've been in their community for 20 years getting deported and their American kids posting sob stories or the illegal criminals and rapists?

ICE has a quota and theres more Illegal parents than the criminals. That is why they're going door to door. And their American friends, the white liberal friends post their deportations for sympathy.

the independents, moderates dont like those stories when they see a family they know deported on Tiktok or Instagram, even though that person voted Trump because of Biden's open border policy.

Clearly the OP linked the entire article. But in typical fashion your retarded arse wants to cherry pick what can be discussed in said article. Carry on moron

All I have is anecdotal evidence, but I've heard numerous instances told to me directly over the last few months of people not happy with the intensity of the arrests, and these were all from people who voted for Trump numerous times. A lot of people wanted secured borders and to get the "murderers, rapists, and drug dealers" out, but when they lawn guy and cleaning lady they have known for 15 years is getting picked up too they aren't as supportive.

I think the issue is the media does a great job at portraying it like this. These are the same low information voters that believe every MSM headline.

The vast majority of people ICE has detained are violent criminals.

Many of the non violent illegals have self deported.

And here we see the seeds of "muh fraud" being planted for the 2026 election season. Not acknowledging the unpopularity of how Trump is using ICE to fight illegal immigration and figuring out a more rational, better way to go about it, is going to hurt the GOP and Trump politically. You can spin it by blaming the MSM or whatever boogeyman you want, but ignoring it will be fatal.

Doesn’t matter. Republicans will lose the House if they deport 3 million people or if they deport no people. Obama lost the House, Trump lost the House, Biden lost the House, and Trump will lose the House again.

The Big Beautiful bill codified a massive expansion and funding of ICE. The Democrats strategy to pretend that deporting illegals is “literally Hitler” will only carry them so far. The shock and awe of these professionally paid ICE rioters/protestors inevitably will wear off as time goes on and they eventually become counterproductive. As with the George Floyd riots, people begin to see law and order being tossed aside by the rioters and grow tired of the chaos. Another thing to consider is that with the massive ICE expansion the deportations are probably going to be done on a large scale in 2026 and 2027 but by the time 2028 comes around there aren’t going to be near as many illegal aliens to deport which makes things less newsworthy.

The democrats will get their temporary win in November (they’d get it with or without ICE) but then they have to deal with Vance coming to the forefront as the leader of the GOP in 2028. He’s the most polished and talented politician the GOP maybe has ever had in their bullpen.

Linking the whole article is standard protocol on here if someone wants to verify the information.

I'm not cherry picking anything. I'm responding to the information linked that OP obviously wanted to address. If you want to discuss something other than the OP perhaps you should start your own thread. Are you capable of that?

This is not even remotely close to try. I can go pull up the findings, but it was less than 15-20% of the detained and deported people in the last year have had violent criminal history.

Even if you assume the ~1m number that is floated of self-deportations is true, that's anywhere from 3-5% of the total illegal population.

No, I'm very much a moderate independent. I love ICE and I love what they're doing. Keep up the good work PDJT and ICE!

It’s not. Obama counted illegals caught and turned around at the border as “deportations. That’s why the number of deportations were higher during that time.
It was presented that way to make his administration look tough on illegal immigration when in fact it was not at all.

completely untrue. Typical liberal projection. It’s you that is in a bubble.

I live in California….Silicon Valley. And a ton of people here support ICE. Only a moron would be against enforcing immigration laws.

Some Independents can be squishy because they harbor fear, the thief of time.

They will need spinal fortification.

Help them understand the consequences of fear…

Last polls I saw from Rasmussen have Trump like -12 with independents which actually isn’t a terrible number. They’re always pissed off about something and tend to be underwater to around that degree. The highest trump has been since he entered office was around -9 independents.

Trump is still more popular at this moment than any president since the first year of Obama. Seethe leftist.
