Unfortunately, she faces a situation exactly the opposite of what Trump faced. You would probably have a hard time getting a New York jury to convict her of anything, regardless of the amount of evidence.

The bank does an appraisal. They don't take your word for it.
So the lender can always look the other way, but if someone wanted to try to defraud a lender, they could provide fraudulent financials on the CRE assets to be appraised.
Underwriting passes based on fraudulent financials and the property appraises for more than it's worth based on the same fraudulent financials.
Odds are everyone knew what was going on, but it's possible to lie to a lender who does shoddy due diligence.

As I've said before - none of it has happened on the timeline that any Patriot would've preferred, but it is all happening on the one timeline that it must.
