It makes about as much sense as Robert Hur saying he’s incompetent to face charges, yet here we are.

It’s all a part of the Dems diabolical scheme to stop DJT from being the 47th President.

He’ll then have to campaign for the 48th presidency and the MSM will cry “He lied…….”

If Biden resigns, does Johnson move into the VP role?

The entertaining part will be to watch Kamala attempt to create a "legacy" (cough) in her very short tenure as POTUS... to prove that she's not as stupid as the rest of the world already knows she is.

There’s no he is won’t. You can’t be president if you’re sundowning hours are form 4 pm to 10 am the next day. You only have 6 hours with a barely functional brain

No.

The position stays vacant until a new Vice President is selected by the sitting president and confirmed by the House and Senate.

But if Harris resigns or is JFK’ed, before a Vice President is approved by congress, Speaker Johnson would become president.

If the DNC really are going to back Harris for 2024 then it makes sense to get rid of Joe now so she can pad her resume.

Trump should immediately request a debate with her.

If I'm reading the 25th amendment correctly, the answer is no, the new president would nominate a new VP and he/she would need to be confirmed by both houses of congress.

quote:

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

LINK

edit: since it's ratification section 2 of the 25th amendment has only happened twice. Both in the 1970s. When Spiro Agnew resigned the VP nixon nominated Ford to become VP. When Nixon resigned Ford became president and nominated Nelson Rockefeller, who became VP under Ford.

We are about to see just how weak Trump is as a candidate. You would think that if your opponent were a dementia-ridden puppet who can only function between the hours of 10am-4pm, you would be up by 20 points. But he isn't.

The fact that it is as close as it is tells us that a large portion of people are looking at demonstrably the worst POTUS in history who is declining by the moment and then looking at Trump and saying "I might vote for Biden/Harris anyway"

That'll be quite a mess, though I'm sure house republicans will squander it in the most stupid way possible.

When will see the first signs that she is the "presumptive" nominee? Will Dems start the convention with a clean slate?

So if the plan is too have Kamala as President going into November, would they do it now or do it after Joe is officially the nominee. If the long game has always been for KH to be president for 2024 they would have Joe step down after the DNC. If you do it before it runs the risk of getting turned on it's head at the convention with the delegates. If she becomes President after DNC, she is the ticket and it's impossible to change it.

Now if the plan is to install a new candidate at the DNC, then you would want Joe to step aside before the DNC. That way you can push around Harris and work deals with delegates in an open convention.

Trust me the dems and powers that be have been planning this since 2021 and have plans and contingencies.

But if Joe/Jill/Kamala don't like how it's going down they could hold their ground and then the 25th might be threatened. The Biden camp can't hold off what I think has been planned for 3 yrs. And the contingency plans are in place as well.
