If I haven't explained it in this thread, the "kernel of truth" CT meme is using a verifiable, benign fact to establish veracity, then extrapolating the entire CT falling back onto that fact.
So, a recent example was the "government controls hurricanes" CT. People kept citing the fact that cloud seeding was verifiable (the "kernel of truth") to extrapolate whatever weather-related CTs they wanted. ("Well we have proof they can manipulate the weather")
So, in this case, IF you're creating a hoax, you find verifiable events in the public domain and work backward. Then, when you can't verify certain other claims/extrapolations, you fall back to the "kernel of truth". That's why you build the hoax this way.

Right. Both the Blaisey-Ford and Carroll accusations were obviously engineered to be impossible to 100% refute. (Although the assertion that an accuser can't remember what fricking year it happened should make any fair-minded person dismiss the claim out of hand.) But the school board meeting should be verifiable. They may redact details that would identify the student but I really don't think they can simply disappear the meeting. I lean towards skepticism but details on that meeting, or lack thereof, will tell the tale.

IMO there is only one post worth more than passing focus, and that is the one containing the victim letter. It appears real. The concert, the DUI, etc are details that Blassey-Ford would never dare risk.

Something else to mull, Walz lived in Box Butte County (
You can't make this stuff up). But his DUI arrest was a county away, in Dawes.
As this thing develops, perhaps it will be clear why Walz was in the adjacent county, and perhaps if the "victim" lived in Dawes as well.

I don’t disagree. Unfortunately, they may be dead by now. That situation was nearly 30 years ago. Hopefully, one or two may still be alive and of sound mind and can shed light on what happened.
