Depreciation isn't a fricking tax break Jesus christ.

Buildings, surprise, lose value over the time. Shocker, I know, but certain improvements are also not allowed to be deducted in full when performed and go towards the cost to further be depreciated.

I didn't know it was possible to not know what depreciation is.

These folks are just sad.

I thought it was 27.5 or 39 years for tax? I'd hardly classify that as accelerated.

Relative to books. Also, don't forget about LHI's and don't under estimate the power of a good cost segregation study.

Again, nothing improper about it. But tax depreciation rules are favorable and there's nothing wrong with it.

I own 6 rentals and have depreciation help for my taxes. On the flip side when I sell my basis is lower so pay my capital gains. OMG that is awful that Trump follows the RE tax laws!

At first I thought we needed the Turbotax metadata. Now I won't believe it until they release the entire Turbotax data center to the public.

I would be upset if he didn't do this. It's what I would expect from a smart businessman.

It's like they are trying to help Trump with smart voters.
