About half of icu patients end up on a ventilator. Those in icu on a ventilator, the odds are against them.

Awful news, Survival rate is not very good when you have to go to ICU. Really really sad news.

Unlikely to need to hang crepe here. He's likely one of the most well folks in ICU & he's there in case crumps not because he necessarily has. He's 55 and doesn't have stacked comorbidities AFAIK. But he's likely in for a long convalescence.

I suggest we all pray for his recovery. The power of prayer works. It worked when I was fighting cancer. It worked when my father fought off cancer and it's working for my my mom's stroke recovery. It's difficult to describe the feeling but you feel it. It gives you strength in the darkest hour. Let us please pray for this man. The world needs him now more than ever.
