Perhaps, but theres no way Trump pushes this hard for individuals to get vaccinated and there's no way Blue states do it either. I havent seen a single red governor who is dissuading folks for vaccination, but you can bet your last dollar that blue governors would be if Trump were in office.
The OP has a point. If the CDC says the vaccine doesnt work against Delta - the current dominant strain, then a lot of folks are going to feel lied to. They assumed some risk with this jab, but were convinced the risks were low and the reward was high. The reward just turned to shite, and all they are left with is the risk.

So what If I choose to not be scared? I mean, it doesn't affect anyone else but me. It was my choice to get it and not anyone else's. I got the shots a while back and have had no side affects whatsoever. I'm not advocating that anyone get it as it's an individual's choice to make. You worry about you and leave me to me.

Idk, when it was first available under Trump all my lib friends were driving to Mississippi where it was available to get it and the normal people I know weren’t nearly as excited about it. Many of them got it later, but I’m not sure Trump has any weight here.
