How can you make and roll steel without blast furnaces?

Do I need to ask chatGPT?

Electric Arc Furnaces.
It's a more efficient process.

They still have mini mills (produce from scrap) but this is their last blast furnace.

Most steel plants are mini mills (electric arc using scrap)

True but scrap is used for shite items not bridge trusses and say ship steel.

And how much scrap is available anyway?

They are going to buy rolls and specifics from imports is what’s going to happen.

Be intellectually honest Sir…

Yes it is, its used for structural steel. In fact one of our navy ships has steel in it from 911

That is correct. That ship is the U.S.S. New York.
I worked building that boat.

Agreed a small portion of 911 is on the gateway leading into the ship, not the ship…

quote:

Anyone who boards the USS New York will, as the ship's motto says, "Never Forget." Reminders of Sept. 11, 2001, extend beyond the ship's bow, built with 7.5 tons of World Trade Center steel. A steel plate recovered from the World Trade Center rubble is displayed above one of the most-used passageways.

Youre simply retarded. You can make structural steel in a mini mill. They produce the same product, simpleton.

Naa, you are full of it and don’t have a clue about steel production or much of anything else.

I rest my case…

The entire fore piece is cast from steel recovered from the WTC. It was melted and recast at Bethlehem.

Youre a fricking tard who pretended to understand what you were talkling about and made a fool of themselves yet again.

Mini mills produce structural steel, Nimrod. You can argue til youre blue in the face, and the facts will never change.

quote:

Finished steel products produced in mini mills include rebar, wire rod, structural shapes, steel plate and sheet steel. Mini mills are easier to start and stop than traditional integrated mills and can produce steel products in smaller batches than integrated mills.

Just be glad you learned something today
