Who is “them?” Are you talking about the 1500, or the 130, or somebody else? And please provide a link to “almost half.”
It is most likely a made up number or manufactured number that includes the most basic of misdemeanor offenses. I haven’t found anything to substantiate that half of J6 defendants had prior convictions.

They probably count traffic tickets

Most people do zero days for assaulting police

only 130 were convicted of assaulting police officers.
I find that very hard to believe that is was even 130. Of course, you can be charged with assault of a police officer by doing very little...and you aren't winning a trial in that shite hole of DC.

They did time. They were charged, convicted and imprisoned in DC. Only half the population of this country can get a fair trial there.

What is your source for this? With hundreds of phone cameras rolling on J6, I am sure there is video of these things happening. I have never seen it.

I haven’t seen video of any violence. I’m not saying it doesn’t exist but you would think CNN would be playing it on a loop.
Either way I consider it fruit of the poisonous tree. We know there were undercover agitators on the scene from feds to DC metro police to antifa. There have also been reports of police firing teargas into the crowd before anyone got rowdy although I have not personally verified that.

They could be priors for non-violent misdemeanors for all we know.
The hypocrisy is insane. In ANY other instance it would be "keep committing crimes, FAFO" and cheering heavy sentences.

Right. I haven’t seen videos of any violence that would justify all of the hyperbole about J6. If the media had this it would’ve been in our faces nonstop for the last 4 years.

And so 4 years wasn't enough for that? Should he get life?
From Chat GPT:
quote:
The penalties for felony assault on a law enforcement officer vary significantly across jurisdictions and depend on factors such as the severity of the assault, the presence of a weapon, and the extent of injury inflicted.
Federal Penalties:
Under federal law, assaulting a federal officer can lead to substantial penalties. For instance, 18 U.S. Code § 111 outlines that simple assault on a federal officer may result in imprisonment for up to one year. However, if the assault involves a deadly or dangerous weapon or inflicts bodily injury, the penalty can increase to imprisonment for up to 20 years.
State Penalties:
Penalties at the state level differ:
Washington State: In Washington, assault in the third degree includes assaulting a law enforcement officer performing official duties. This offense is classified as a Class C felony, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Washington State Legislative Information
New York: Assaulting a police officer with intent to prevent them from performing lawful duties is considered a serious offense. Penalties can range from a minimum of two years to a maximum of 15 years in prison, depending on the severity and circumstances of the assault.
Julie Rendelman
Florida: In Florida, assaulting a law enforcement officer is a felony that can result in a minimum of two years in prison, with the possibility of life imprisonment for more severe offenses.
Unsurprisingly, red state penalties are even more severe than blue state penalties. That's exactly what one would expect in the non-bizarro world of apologia for violent felons beating on cops.

Doesn't matter. You attack a cop that is standing his post, you deserve to be sent to the dungeons. The "but they did it too" crap is juvenile. Grow up.

Since J6 was orchestrated by the Dems I think he should get 2 days, max.

We know it with 100% certainty. In the last few weeks the FBI admittied having 26 agents in the crowd, many of which they confirm entered the capitol. If they’re admitting to that many there were likely a hell of a lot more.
Also we have the Ray Epps footage where he’s yelling to go into the capitol. Of course nothing has happened to him.

So much evidence against Epps, and law enforcement isn’t even interested in him. All those others that got rounded up and jailed, and Epps only got probation? It is inexplicable.

No, I mean like illegals who are arrested for things like endangering the life of a child and then released, only to commit other crimes like murder. Ya know, like Laken Riley’s murderer?
And a lot of these illegals Biden let in have priors in their home country.
You don’t sky scream about that but you sure do when Trump pardons a few people from J6 who’s served several years already for assaulting a police officer.

The whole thing is such a ridiculous farce. In addition to Epps, we now find out that the cop who shot Babbit got a $30k bonus and was totally protected. Pelosi just saying yes to the national guard presence would’ve prevented the whole thing. But they needed the false flag. Glad Trump took care of them.

Except most people don’t receive decades long sentences for assaulting officers. That only became a thing with J6. Before J6, a lot of the people from the 2020 riots who assaulted officers weren’t even charged.

Looks like they abided by the 2A & formed a Militia to combat the illegitimate regime, which is their/our right under the constitution. The cops just violated that right by getting in the way.
The violence started & ended with the the cap' pd.
