There's no such thing as 'nonbinary'. Humans are either male or female.

You are not required to participate in their personal cosplay games.

The teacher is a Christian. Could she argue it’s against her religious beliefs to call a child “they”?

The teachers that have been fired for not using preferred pronouns won big lawsuits.

Well if these the case I hope good parent are doing their due diligence in researching the schools they are investing their money and kids into. And I hope good teachers are reflecting on where they want to invest their gifts of teaching.

They do. Long ago it used to be only Little Rock Catholic for boys and it's sister school Mount St Mary's for girls.

Pulaski Academy is easily 50 years old I'm positive, and then maybe PA didn't fit for everyone, so Little Rock Christian came along and became PA's equal for the most part in enrollment and main rival in sports.

Central Arkansas Christian has also been around for many decades. I feel like I'm forgetting several others.

Northwest Arkansas is starting to get non-religious private schools now.

Yea the problem here is it’s a non religious private school that has a woke board.

Also the school is struggling a bit. Probably because it’s run by female liberals. The teacher has been involved with fundraising for the school for years. She would never want to financially harm the schools ability to pay for scholarships for poor kids with severe learning disabilities.

She’s asking me if I think she can refuse to use the pronouns and still keep her job.

If a teacher refuses to call the child “they” can the teacher be fired for it? It’s a private school.

They work at will most likely so they can be fired for whatever the employer wants.

Hmmm, that is open ended and doesn't define any hard rules. They could come after a teacher; however, shy of specifics, they would lose.
Depending on the degree of a$$hole of your vindictive lawyer....it would only be a matter of how much.

Just make it known that you must be referred to as "Your Majesty." If they refuse than sue them.

I'd advise her to start wearing a cross necklace to work... all the time.

If it comes up she needs to flat out tell them that she has to abide by her deeply held religious beliefs, FIRST AND FOREMOST.

If they tell her she has to she should tell them that she needs it in writing.

If they tell her she can be fired for refusing, she needs to tell them she needs that in writing as well.

She should hire a lawyer and keep them informed.

She can always bring the board down instead of taking money, where a settlement demands significant changes and protections.

One can be fired for anything. Whether one stays fired or receives compensation later is the nut.
