Black kids are 10x more likely to do something worth getting paddled.
....but I will admit I got my white butt whooped once my principal in elementary school once

Assuming his state is correct about the numbers, why is does it matter what number of kids are black vs. white if the practice is "barbaric"? Would it be less barbaric (in his mind) if more white kids were paddled?

Oh boy. Let's just ruin all public schools why don't we?

Can we just open the fricking economy?

I swear every elected Dem just has to weigh in on every fricking SJW subject with the dumbest shite

Heck, when I'd get paddled at school, I ALWAYS knew there was another paddling coming when I got home and my dad got home from work. It was a two-for-one deal. Every single time.

I lived in Illinois when I was in kindergarten back in the 70's (yes I'm old) and my teacher was black. My best friend Brian was black and he and the other black students got paddled a lot by the teacher for what seemed like minor incidents. My parents later explained that she was harder on the black kids because she did not want them to create a bad stereotype.
If I acted up, I got the belt at home.
Times have certainly changed.

If no daddy or mama to correct, then who?

ok...where are the stats to back that up? and I remember the hardest I ever got paddled was from the black vice principle and didn't think nothing racist about it all, we fricked up and took the punishment and went on back to class...

Well, Chris, studies show children in single parent homes, no father in the home, receive less discipline....can you connect the dots?
Also, less paddling and less red dodge ball to the face during recess/PE is really showing in today’s youth...complete pussification

I got a funny paddling story.
When I was in 5th grade, my buddies and me got into the habit of jumping up and slapping the school bell on the wall as we walked by it. We were observed, and advised to stop doing that.
One day, one of my buddies and me did it one more time, and of course, a teacher was rounding the corner. She was not impressed, and sent us both to the office.
We went in to see the vice-principal, and he asked why we were sent there. My buddy (who was not too bright) explained what we did. Vice-principal stood up, looked at him, and started coming around his desk, saying "Alright. Grab that chair, son." My buddy promptly walked over and took a seat.
VP had to take several moments to compose himself-- he was obviously trying to choke back a laugh. All he could croak out was "No, son..."
It was almost worth that paddling to get back and tell the rest of my buddies that story.

I'm not saying this isn't true, but shouldn't you have to cite the info? List the actual stats? You can't just say shite like this. Maybe I missed it.
You're asking this of Chris Murphy. You won't find a bigger hack in the senate.

And those of us lucky enough to have parents and teachers who loved us enough to do so turned out all the better for it.

yeah, this is exactly what we need less discipline. When I was in school the nuns used to whack our knuckles with a ruler and they didn't hold back
somehow I survived and after 50yrs my arrest record sits at ZERO

I would be curious how many of those blacks come from single-parent households vs the white kids. Maybe let's look at the root cause of the discipline issues.
Without the context of background like single parents, gang membership, family criminal influence and other such things plaguing their demographics, the gross data is only something that a democrat could buy as meaningful.
That paddle may have saved some kids from going down some very bad paths in life.

Now look at the number of kids of all races with fathers in the home and without fathers in the home who get paddled at school.

2X is surprisingly low based upon behavior, I suspect a lot of teachers are woke and don't want to go near that tar baby.

I got paddled at school. School then called parents. Then parents to took a belt to me.
Didn’t take too long to figure out the rules for me a man a child.

The 2 for 1!
I was homeschooled. Mom would beat my arse, then Dad would belt my arse when he got home from work. Good times
