What percent of your total costs are cement?
I’d imagine when you add up labor, utilities, other inputs, etc, cement is a small percentage of your total cost.
So a 15% tax on an item that makes up 10% of your total costs shouldn’t be”decimating” you

Dude, this is all easily refuted. They are 7% of the entire market

Huh ? It's a commodity that is loaded on a ship. Cost of cement at the port + logistics = the cost.

Yea it seems like they have all their eggs in one basket and are suffering as a result. Again, that is not a market issue. That's a management issue.

Sorry. Maybe learn to code?

Our hyper manic tariff policy is stupid. Trump is the only person that thinks it’s a good idea other than the clapping seals that go along with anything he says. He has no foresight or plan. We have a dumb president who’s terrible at his job.

It seems like not paying tariffs on Canadian cement could offset logistical concerns.
Maybe your competitors already figured that out.

Your company has no other cost besides cement?
What?
What?

Because the needed cement cannot be imported at a profit, but the multinationals import anyway and they are fine because prices are thru the roof.

Only economically illiterate support tariffs

Show us your P&Ls for the last three years. It’s either tariffs or mismanagement.

Tarrif related ? It's our business to import cement and distribute it. Tarrifs have had a detrimental impact on our bottom line. The U.S. cannot make the needed cement for the construction industry. For at least 30 years, the needed cement has been imported. NOW, the tariffs are causing huge price increases. Are you an imbecile ?
Oh, it's much deeper than that. It's a multinational monopoly that is not American owned. There dumb fricks in the U.S. don't know the difference between cement and concrete.

Cement is concrete before it has been mixed up and hardened. I looked it up a while back, but I sometimes still get it mixed up. I know in modern society that we like to think of the two things as the same term. Is it true that Chinese cement is an inferior product?
