Wealth inequality is much lower in communist countries, so the more you call for wealth redistribution to solve wealth inequality the more you're calling for a move to socialism.

Don’t disagree with OP but I would submit the pendulum will swing back. It usually does.

Not without a huge reset button though ...world war, famine, earthquake, pandemic, etc.

There has to be and will be a huge pressure relief valve in the forms mentioned above.

Step 2
Attract younger generations through media and educational systems to spread progressive and socialist ideology.
Complete.
This has always been and about half grow out of their immature socialist ideas.

Step 3
Making more and more of the populace desire wealth redistribution policy and maintain or grow dependancy on govt.
Again, a portion of the country has always been envious but I see no recent increase .

Besides which, the so-called "communist" systems that we've seen fail have ultimately concentrated wealth in the elite ruling class, and have not really been communist at all.

Just trying to correct the idea that all these different and common professions are in poverty in our system.

Consider this, in our system, compensation is commensurate with market demand. When you see entertainers making zillions of dollars and educators in the 5 figure range, it tells you where our priorities are. We value entertainment over education. What can be more important to a society than education, besides maybe good health? What kind of society demands entertainment above all else?

I had an English teacher at LSU tell us one time that education is the one thing from which people don't want to get their money's worth.

Maybe theoretically, but not in practice. I believe that's why communism is impractical if not impossible. In practice, there's always been a ruling elite where wealth is concentrated. All they've done is redistribute misery. The problem is that human nature abhors theoretical extremes. Similarly, that's why I think a purely libertarian utopia is impractical, human nature.

No it doesn't. It tells you entertainers are harder to come by than educators and that the entertainers' product is distributed across a nation and the world. Almost anyone can become an educator if they choose that path and their product is not distributed anywhere but their classroom as there are millions of them that can replicate the same product in their classroom.

The southern US country would resemble Zimbabwe. It would be a disaster. This is Rhodesia all over again.

Fantastic thread. The only thing I can add is the revolution is being greatly aided by the center of our democracy (Wash DC) being 96% liberal.

The demise of the Socialists is a self - fulfilling prophecy. With 5 minutes of control these beta SJW pinkos would frick everything up so badly the pendulum would swing wildly back. The only question is how much damage they can do in the interim.

That has nothing to do with why the wall failed. It could've been 100% impenetrable, and economics would still have brought it down.

Israel, in its current state, is unsustainable. Their walls are actually proof of this fact.

Absolutely. If you don't like that, then consider there are limited spots for entertainers... there is only one Avengers film and one person who plays Iron Man and it's distributed for millions to view around the world. Mrs. Jones' algebra class is repeated by hundreds of thousands of teachers to millions of students everyday across the world, not just Mrs. Jones.
