bullshite. Cuba is squarely under China's thumb. They are Cuba's primary creditor (having replaced Russia as such) and they have single handedly propped up Cuba's crumbling infrastructures including Cuba's telecom infrastructure, which they control.
China could put Cuba in a communications blackout with the push of one button.
I don't know what you think you're seeing the leads you to believe that Cuba is organically "opening up," but for them to be an actual democracy and free society someone would have to forcibly liberate them from China.
China collects way too much Intel on us for them to give Cuba up without a fight.

That is all interesting but we are taking Cuba and are going to turn it back into the welcoming paradise it was in the 40s and early 50s. The Monte Carlo of the western hemisphere! Deal with it!
