It’s a great example where a combination of powerful monied interests AND general voter ignorance-collective amnesia can potentially keep a politician entrenched where he has no business staying based on his record.

And this isn’t just a Louisiana thing.

You see this nonsense repeated everywhere year after year after year.

While it’s a shame term limits would basically be a tool to protect us from ourselves (as voters), it’s also another good example where term limits would be a wonderful and welcome thing to occur in this country.

Cassidy may or may not win but it’s ridiculous he’s even a legitimate threat to win.

Do let him get into the runoff ,because money will pour into his campaign from everywhere. If the Letlow people or the Flemming people get arse hurt which tends to happen in LA GOP races and stays home for the runoff than he is the nom for the GOP and I can see voters from both not voting for him out of spite. It could be the worst case scenario where we end up with him or a Dem.
