The media pretty much controls everything.

Look back 40 years.

Gerald Ford (not Rex) was a clumsy fool even though he would have been drafted as a linebacker to the NFL out of Michigan.

Reagan was a dumb actor with Alzheimer's.

The first George Bush was a bumbling doofus even though he was a WW2 fighter pilot and was the director of the fricking CIA pre POTUS.

George W. Bush was a barely functioning retard by the media's account even though he was a fighter pilot and graduated Harvard and Yale.

But of course, every Democrat is a fricking genius.

Obama couldn't run the Bluth Banana stand and he has shite every bed that can receive shite yet he is still somehow above Steven Hawking with regards to intellectual prowess.

Cynthia McKinney can go on the House floor and say that the Hilton on Venus is not hiring enough minorities and gets a pass. One minor misstep by a female conservative and it is a shite show.

Dan Rather helped this happen.

frick him.

Yes, genius is the first word that comes to mind when I think of LBJ, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.

Thanks to all who are proving my point...

Our populace is about as intellectually curious as a turtle my kids find in the yard.

The ultimate responsibility still falls on the media in my opinion.

A dumb populace might be able to figure things out to some extent given straight facts and information.

They are spoon fed biased info rooted in advocacy for only one side of the political spectrum.

Come on bro! You can say A LOT of things about them but they are not stupid, not even close! If anyone believes that because of the media they are just dumb and we all know that!

In the end it doesn't matter. What we have is the illusion of a two party system, while they are working together behind the scenes with their palms out waiting to auction their precious votes out to the highest bidder. They pit the CNN's and NBC's versus the FOX news to create a wedge. Whenever the guy who owns Fox News, the only conservative leaning news channel, is a registered democrat, you can only sit back and laugh at the reality that there is no option, we have no voice as of now and it's not that people aren't aware of it. It's what do we do about it.... What CAN we do about it?

How you gather information is your responsibility. But it sure makes it easy for the elite to herd you along if you demand the media takes that responsibility off your shoulders.

The arrogance it must take to believe you're entitled to be given the "straight facts."

Political spectrum was created to keep us fighting amongst ourselves (divided). When you realize how badly the elite is raping us (and the rest of the world) it's no wonder they want us fighting amongst ourselves and not banning together to fight them.

We can do a lot. The question is, what are we willing to do about it?

The media is liberal because concentration of power makes them more powerful. If power was decentralized nobody would pay network newsreaders millions of dollars because nobody would have to worry about how Washington DC is going to frick them over today. Concentrate power, make the mouthpieces powerful, really easy concept.

'scuse me sir - your bias is showing.

As for Rather - he is one of the architects of the biased journalism we have today. It sounds like a 'death-bed conversion' to me.

Everybody knows the media is biased. The problem is that the younger generations like it that way.

The term "sheople" does not offend me...it's a term made up by fedora wearing Poli Sci majors that think they have all the answers. I just don't like self-righteous, condescending assholes who are more clueless than the people they accuse of being clueless.

But please....tell us again how the Rothchilds have all the money on earth and Bush let 9/11 happen so he can go get all that sweet sweet oil

frickin idiot

is it arrogance to expect the people in one's life to be honest, to act with integrity?

then it should at least be the standard applied to people at large, professionals, journalists, etc.., even though they fall short, that should be the standard they are held to

why is that arrogant?
