Ive started to dislike Dave.
He's been wrong a lot and thinks he's not.

As should anyone of basic moral character. Outside of this one psychopath that Piers had one who advocates for killing every single Palestinian and John Bolton, I do think Destiny is the single worst person Piers Morgan has ever had on his show.

well that's false on a molecular level. Destiny is happy for people to die and cavalier when it comes to lives he doesn't value. Smith is a bleeding heart liberal when it comes to loss of life.

I definitely prefer Smith to Destiny (obviously).
But aren't they the same model? They do edgy talk for a living and do it without any particularly notable intellect or knowledge base. Prior to this, neither did anything, studied anything, developed expertise on anything or built anything of lasting value. They appeal to different sides of the same young, jaded, skeptical coin.
Honestly, I'd argue Destiny has broken a lot more ground in the streaming/podcasting era than Smith, albeit as a much more loathsome character.
I say all this stuff with the self-awareness that these guys have been successful in arguably creating something from nothing and plenty of people dislike them out of masked jealousy. I don't think my distaste for them has much to do with jealousy, but I try and monitor for things like that.

Yeah, Dave has described himself as Right Wing Hippy (quite frankly that’s an accurate description of myself as well), but he’s well aware the average Palestinian would advocate for his death. The thing is lots of Germans would at the end of WWII, and look at them now.
Dave isn’t a “Free Palestine” person since he understands that they’re way too insane and fricked up to govern themselves right now, but maybe we could do something similar to them with what we did to the Germans and Japanese after WWII.

i don't disagree with a lot of that take.
the difference is that Ron Paul would have Dave Smith to speak at his birthday last week. The libertarian party (for all their faults) has had Smith speak at their convention. He is not a Christian and I would consider him a co-belligerent at best, but I truly think he values life and liberty.
Absolutely nobody would ever want a ghoul like Destiny, to speak at an event other than a guest interview or something.

This is where I disagree with him. The default position of Palestine is that Israel should be wiped off the map. You can’t have a two state solution with people like that.
