Simply because things like this do nothing to further Trump's chances of actually doing anything legislatively and harm them instead.
Sure, we all enjoy funny memes and taking jabs at people, but it has to be weighed against the bigger picture and if it's worth it.

Not sure if you've peeked at congress lately, but his own party are blocking his legislation from getting passed. At some point you just "f it" and do what you want. I don't blame him.

Do you think moderates like McConnell and Ryan base their legislative decisions on whether Trump has pushed the button of those who hate free speech in our society because he reposed a meme thatch almost a week old? That's too naive. Money is the driving force in that town, but yeah I can see them trying to use a fricking meme as an excuse, that's how they play the game, but that doesn't mean you have to be a sheep and be duped by their game.

Well, the usual proggies responded with a complete lack of humor like I thought they would.
That was funny. Just like the Biden memes were funny. Or like the miniature Trump memes were funny.
It's rather telling about a person when they refuse to find something funny purely based on their politics. It's a sign they take themselves too seriously. And people who take themselves too seriously are usually dicks.
