Do people really want "common sense" to be the touchstone of ANY laws? When I see those stupid yard signs, I really want to go knock on the people's door and have a conversation about what exactly that means, and have them explain to me why their idea of "common sense" should govern over anyone else's, and over the United States Constitution.
And, generally, how am I supposed to know when "common sense" trumps the written rule of law, especially as embodied in the United States Constitution (and those of the several states).
What is it that allows me to make that distinction? Since they put that signal in their yards, I feel they owe me some explanation.

They're already advocating it. It won't happen though. There's absolutely zero basis any judge could find to uphold any law they passed, and even if they did, it wouldn't get past the Supreme Court once again.

Didn't say these things would happen soon, I think Democrats will start to openly advocate for them to happen in the mainstream.
Take austintigernottheirdad for instance - he scoffs at this thread but if you really asked someone like that, they'd say they are for repeal of the 2A or that open borders arent ridiculous
