Tough few months for you huh?

•Joe's dementia cover up ended at the 1st debate
•Lawfare failed.
•Shooter #1 just missed center mass
•Shooter #2 couldn't get a shot off
•Kamala's joy wasn't uplifting enough to counter democratic policy failures
•The voting public chose wisely (312 EVs) to salvage their future.

A rough, tough 4 months indeed.
All they have to look forward to is sky screaming.

You dumbasses are freaking out over NOTHING.

The federal judge has to schedule a trial so soon because of the speedy trial rules. However, the defense almost always asks for a continuance. In a case such as this, no credible defense lawyer would be ready to go to trial in 90-120 days. Period.

In reality, it will take 1- 1 1/2 years for this case to go to trial.

That's assuming he doesn't use the insanity defense or try to use one, thus has to get a mental evaluation.

That is the way these cases work in the FEDERAL docket and I can cite example after example of such being the case.

Dude I am REALLY old and knew him and his daddy long before you were born. If you do not see Roy Cohn (his mentor) all over DJT, you are the fool.

I know you live in the modern world of anti social media but it is your choice to better informed.

It's what attorneys do in case you haven't noticed and to say he was his mentor is laughable. Just because Frontline said it doesn't make it true.

I did not get that from Frontline, I got it firsthand and from my old man in the old neighborhood. Back in those days you were a Russian Jew or a Sicilian Catholic. Trump's daddy was neither but still lived there. This was not accidental.

Thanks for blame throwing tho, seem all the rage in young folks today who did not actually live through it. Not like I am giving the Democrats a pass either. Kennedy was a bootlegger and got his son a job with Red Joe alongside Cohn so both parties were in the mix.

You may not believe this but the more things "seem" to change, the more they stay the same.

And you know what else?

The doj/fbi will treat him better than the J6 political prisoners until his trial.

Purple haze,

I was curious so I looked it up. Hinckley, who tried to kill Reagan, came to trial 13 months after the shooting. So you are correct on the timeline.

Did this guy really visit Ft. Bragg 149 times and overnight 29? I would think this would even make the msm if true?

Dumbass? Because I'm telling you how the federal docket actually works? Because you conspiracy theorists want to see yet another conspiracy when non exists?

NO credible defense lawyer would go to trial on this case within 120 or 180 days. Period. First they have to do discovery, that will take a while. Pretty sure they will want to do a mental exam, and the prosecution gets to do one too.

Hell, in my state in state court, asking for that mental eval can delay that trial just a year or more alone because the state hospital is so backed up.

There will probably be at least three continuances in this case, depending on when the trial date is scheduled. Usually the prosecution does not oppose defense requests for continuances.

I'm looking at the docket right now. He is represented by two federal public defenders.

The government designated the case as a complex case, meaning the clock on the speedy trial rules is stopped. Doc. #30.

I am looking at the exhibit for doc #90, Government response to discovery. The government gave the defense a jump drive of video, audio, and photographs. The list of the files included on said jump drive is 13 pages long and most of it is video. Meaning the defense has probably hundreds of hours of video to review as the NYP reported. That is no bull. You can't do that between now and the February trial date. It was provided to the defense on December 4.

NOW the defense asked for a December 2024 trial date which the prosecution opposed. However, the judge agreed the defense needed more time to review discovery and prepare for trial so she set the case in September, which is reasonable according to current practice in federal court.
