There were literally whole campaigns to cancel both, and the only reason they walked them back is because of the outrage and backlash

Yeah, even Jimmy Kimmel said that when he heard this that he immediately went over to his kid’s book shelf, read the books, and said this was insane saying shite like this is going to get Trump back in the White House in 2024. When you’re too Woke for Jimmy Kimmel, you’ve gone too far.
